New Orleans
My first stop after leaving Florida was New Orleans. It was my first time there and I was excited to experience the experience of the city. I stayed in the French Quarter which was a good move considering that’s where most of the action was happening. It’s a great area to walk around in- day and night- and just explore. I spent countless hours wandering in and out of shops, had cafe au lait and beignets at Cafe Du Monde, listened to amazing musicians (street and professional), I freaked myself out one night after taking a ghost tour (FYI: NEVER take a ghost tour if you have to spend the night alone. Seriously.), had lunch with the cat (she curled up in her window seat while I ate) and took a drive through the Garden District. I really enjoyed my time there and as independent as I am, I would have preferred to have company (Kelly I miss you!!). New Orleans is not a city for solo traveling but was a good time nonetheless!
