Hiking in Paradise

Mt Tamalpias is the highest peak in Marin County, just north of San Francisco. The hiking trails are picturesque with redwoods, waterfalls and spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco. Here are some photos from my Mother’s Day hike up Mt Tamalpias on a perfect day.

  • I love Mt Tam. One of my favorite places to hike! Especially the Steep Ravine trail. So gorgeous.

  • It’s one of my favorites too. Besides the beauty of Mt Tam, this hike was also motivated by a pancake brunch at The West Point Inn. They offer these brunches once a month on Sundays from April through October. You can find more information about it here: http://www.westpointinn.com/Activities.htm. A lot of people also hike up to the Inn and bring their own picnics/snacks. Definitely a http://bayareaonabudget.wordpress.com activity!
